A beautifully sunny day greeted hikers on April 29th for the Annual General Meeting (AGM).  Mud slowed down the hike but did not deter hikers from a terrific loop into Short Hills Provincial Park.  A second hike looped onto the Rockway bridge and to the lower falls.

Debbie Demizio, President of the Niagara Bruce Trail Club (NBTC) gave a brief summary of last year’s progress and events.  The new board was voted in for 2018-19.

We were treated to a presentation by Beth Gilhespy, Chief Executive Officer of the Bruce Trail Conservancy.  Her engaging talk covered the ongoing mandate for the conservancy in preserving a “ribbon of wilderness” for all.  Debbie presented Beth with a $22,000 donation from the club.

Diane Marlatt, Social Director and her team of volunteers presented us with a fabulous meal.
